How to Master the Desktop OS Canvas Multi-Window Environment
Run floating, draggable, and resizable tool sandboxes like a high-end native operating system inside your web browser.
Traditional browser utilities trap you inside a single full-screen tab or force you into juggling multiple disjointed browser windows. OmniDeck Pro's Desktop OS Canvas brings native desktop window management directly into your browser tab with 100% in-memory data isolation.
1. Activating Canvas OS Mode
At the top of OmniDeck Pro, look at the view switcher in the header and click the 🖥️ Canvas OS button. The workstation interface transforms into a responsive dark-mode virtual desktop workspace.
2. Spawning Floating Tool Sandboxes
Inside the Desktop OS Canvas, click + Launch Workstation in the bottom taskbar dock. Select any tool—such as DocuMorph PDF Studio, DevForge Code Enclave, or PixelForge Photo Editor. Each workstation launches as an independent floating window with its own isolated memory context.
3. Window Management & Auto-Arrangement
- Drag & Move: Click and hold any window's titlebar to position it anywhere on the canvas.
- Resize: Hover over the bottom-right corner resize handle to expand or shrink the tool view.
- Minimize to Dock: Click the minus (
−) button to hide the window into the bottom taskbar. Click the taskbar pill anytime to restore it. - Auto-Cascade: Click 🪟 Cascade in the canvas utility bar to neatly stagger all open windows diagonally.
- 2x2 Grid Tile: Click ▦ Tile to snap all active tools into an aligned 4-quadrant multi-monitor layout.
4. Encrypted Session State Persistence
Never worry about accidentally closing or reloading your browser tab. OmniDeck's LocalSessionVault encrypts your active window coordinates, sizes, and layout configurations using hardware-accelerated 256-bit AES-GCM Web Crypto and preserves them in your local browser sandbox.
